This article defines a property that can be evaluated for a differential operator on a differential manifold (viz a linear map from the space of differentiable functions to itself)

Definition

Symbol-free definition

A differential operator is said to be a SSMP-differential operator if it satisfies the following variant of the scalar weak maximum principle: any supersolution to it is a positivity-preserving trajectory, that is, if the infimum at some time is positive, the infimum at all future times is also positive.
