Jordan curve theorem

Statement

Any simple closed curve in the Euclidean plane $\mathbb {R} ^{2}$ divides the rest of the plane into two connected components, of which exactly one is bounded. The bounded component is termed the interior of the curve and the unbounded component is termed the exterior of the curve.
