Definition

The integral Stiefel-Whitney class for an oriented real vector bundle over a differential manifold, is defined as a sum of characteristic classes in various dimensions, where the characteristic class in dimension i+1 is obtained by applying the Bockstein homomorphism to the ith Stiefel-Whitney class.
